THE NEED
Schools in Western Mongolia face severe financial limitations that result in inadequate equipment, outdated textbooks, and a lack of teaching materials. Public schools, both in rural areas and town centres, struggle to compete with private institutions or paid lessons, which most families cannot afford. Moreover, the three-month summer break leaves many children without access to learning resources, deepening the educational divide between rich and poor.

At Altai Blue Horizon, we believe that education has the power to transform lives and create lasting change. Our mission is to bridge the educational gap in Western Mongolia by addressing these pressing challenges with targeted, impactful solutions.

SUMMER PROGRAMME
Our Summer Programme helps students in rural areas continue learning during the three-month break. We offer free English and Mongolian classes, workshops, meals, and essential learning resources. By bridging the education gap, we ensure every child has the chance for meaningful learning in the summer.
VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME
Our Volunteer Programme connects you with schools in Western Mongolia, where you can teach English or Mongolian, assist with our Summer Programme, or contribute in other ways. Gain valuable experience while directly impacting education in remote areas.
