HOW IT WORKS

The programme is a collaborative effort, bringing together local teachers, international volunteers, and student assistants to deliver a diverse curriculum. Key features include:

  • Proficiency-Based Placement: Students are grouped by language ability through a placement test, ensuring lessons meet their needs.
  • Community Involvement: Parents, schools, and local authorities work with us to ensure the programme aligns with community needs.
  • Local Facilities: Classes and activities take place in partner schools, which provide classrooms, kitchens, and spaces for sports and workshops.

WHY IT MATTERS

Bayan-Ulgii Province faces significant challenges in education, including:

A lack of extracurricular opportunities for children during the summer months.

Educational inequalities between urban and rural schools.

Socio-economic barriers that limit access to private lessons or programmes.

The Summer Programme directly addresses these issues by offering free and accessible activities that help children build confidence, develop essential skills, and foster a love for learning.
